Montefiore New Rochelle’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is a Federally and State funded supplemental nutrition program which seeks to improve the nutrition and health status of low-income women, infants and children in our community. The WIC Program provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding education and support, and healthcare referrals to low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children up to the age of five. New York State WIC clients use a WIC EBT card to purchase WIC approved foods at authorized WIC grocery stores.

We also offer healthy lifestyle activities for children aged 2-5. For more information, or to apply to the program, please call or visit one of our 3 locations, listed at left.

Those who qualify for WIC benefits must present proof of identity, proof of income for all adults in the household and proof of address. To apply for WIC, please contact a WIC office convenient to you. We will schedule an appointment to determine your WIC eligibility.

Community Access

To build communities, it is important for organizations to have a space where people can come together. Community groups can access the meeting spaces and conference centers on-site at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital and MMG New Rochelle Community Health Center. Based on availability, these spaces can be used by community groups for public meetings, presentations, gatherings and more. Contact the Community Relations Office at 914-365-3468 for more information to reserve space at Montefiore New Rochelle.

Community Partnerships

We are proud to be an active participant in the community. Montefiore New Rochelle participates in health fairs, engages in local projects and initiatives, and works with the city as well as grassroots organizations to improve the welfare of the community.

We are a major sponsor of Hope Community Services, the largest emergency food pantry and soup kitchen in the region. In addition to nutritional support, this organization provides clothing, language skills, emotional support, immigration services and other daily necessities to the community.
